Within the framework of ADRA Ukraine project, with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO), the direction of social transportation continues.

Since the twenty-seventh of October, social transportation has been provided in Stepnenska and Shyrokivska communities of Zaporizhzhia district of Zaporizhzhia region. The routes were proposed by the administrations of territorial communities to provide transport connections to 34 settlements. A free bus from ADRA Ukraine runs twice a week: in Stepnenska community on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in Shyrokivska community — on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Once every two weeks, there is a separate social trip from ADRA Ukraine that transports people with disabilities to the clinical sanatorium “Roshcha” in Pisochyni settlement, Kharkiv region, for treatment and rehabilitation. In addition, another group of people is being transported from the sanatorium to homes in Lozova.
The request for transportation was received from the Department of Labor and Social Protection of Lozova City Council of Kharkiv Region.

In October, ADRA Ukraine launched free social trips in Apostolivska and Zelenodol communities of Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk region. In total, nine social routes covering 18 settlements operate in these two communities. The routes were proposed by the administrations of the cities of Zelenodolsk and Apostolovyi.

As of today, 1,717 people have already used social transportation within the framework of the project with the support of GFFO, among whom the majority are women, people of retirement age and people with disabilities.
