More than two million loaves of bread and tens of thousands of food certificates have been given to people in need due to the UN World Food Program
In August, ADRA Ukraine project with the support of the UN World Food Program, started implementation of another type of food assistance and reached new marks in all areas. In particular, ADRA Ukraine team has distributed 2,598,475 loaves of bread. Eleven regions, including Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Luhansk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and others, have received 199,575 food kits of various purposes. As part of the new type of assistance, 73,684 food certificates have been distributed to beneficiaries in Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
ADRA Ukraine has been implementing the project of emergency food assistance to the affected population with the support of the UN World Food Program for more than five months. Within the framework of the project, assistance is received on a regular basis in the form of food kits of various purposes, food for children from 6 to 23 months, and bread distribution. This activity covers 12 regions of Ukraine.
In total, more than 862,793 food kits and about 9,644,455 loaves of fresh bread have been distributed during the entire project implementation period.
