Residents of the boarding house in the Zhytomyr region taught to regulate their emotions
In August, the Zhytomyr geriatric boarding house (in Ivanivka village) hosted a training on the topic “Acquaintance. What is self-regulation and why does it work?” with the participation of ADRA Ukraine psychologist Yulia Zalutska and facilitator Anna Khvelos. The project donors are Radiohjälpen and ADRA Sweden. The training was joined by wards of the boarding house, as well as IDPs who now live here – 17 women and 9 men.
Participants of the training learned a lot of interesting things about the basic concepts and functions of self-regulation, about the range of problems solved by these means. In addition, they in practice developed the ability to regulate their emotional state, mastered the techniques of psychophysiological self-regulation, and the release of muscle tension (using breathing and muscle relaxation).
