On October 24, ADRA Ukraine psychologist Yulia Zalutska, conducted online trainings for students, parents and teachers of the Kherson Lyceum “DiyeSlovo”. For students, the training was organized on the topic “Familiarity with emotions” and for adults – training “Stress and anxiety. Self-help methods. How to take back control of your life during the war. ” The events were supported by ADRA Australia.

During the “Familiarity with emotions” training, children learned to recognize, understand and express their own emotions, such as joy, sadness, fear, anger, surprise and disgust. These skills contribute to the development of emotional intelligence, improve relationships and help to better understand yourself and others. Students were also taught empathy – the ability to empathize and understand the feelings of others. The training was aimed at the complex development of the emotional sphere of the child, which is an important element in education and training.

The training for parents and educators was intended to help cope with the stress and anxiety caused by the war. The psychologist provided recommendations to parents and teachers on how to talk to children about the war, introduced practical methods aimed at improving mental health and well-being. Participants mastered relaxation techniques and breathing exercises to reduce stress, and were given tools to effectively manage their emotions and life in the war period.
