Young people in Dnipro were trained in psychological resilience
In a safe psychological space in the city of Dnipro, specialists from ADRA Ukraine conducted a training for young people who experienced psychological trauma against the background of the military conflict, aimed at developing psychological resilience and emotional self-regulation skills. A total of 14 people took part in the event.
The purpose of the training was to increase awareness of the phenomenon of emotional burnout, develop the ability to recognize one’s own emotions and needs, introduce the principles of nonviolent communication, and form practical tools for restoring internal resources.
The event took place within the framework of the WMTW Ukraine project “Safe Water, Mental Peace, Social Transport and Winterization for Ukrainians Affected by the Conflict,” with the support of Aktion Deutschland Hilft, ADRA Czech Republic and ADRA Germany.
During the training, participants analyzed their own emotional state more deeply, received practical tools for reducing stress, learned to express feelings and needs in an environmentally friendly (healthy) way, identified personal sources of resources and ways to maintain them. Special attention was given to the development of skills that help maintain internal balance in difficult professional situations.
Emotional burnout is a state of internal exhaustion that arises as a result of prolonged stress and overload. It is often intensified by communication difficulties: the inability to talk about one’s own feelings, fear of conflicts, or the habit of ignoring one’s needs. When a person learns to listen to themselves and build interaction without internal pressure, the risk of burnout significantly decreases. That is why the approach of nonviolent communication became one of the key tools of the training — as a foundation for healthy communication and professional resilience.
