At the invitation, educational specialists of the charity organization ADRA Ukraine took part in a solemn event on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Schulzentrum Marienhöhe educational institution in Darmstadt (Germany).

On the eve of the event, the ADRA Ukraine team sincerely congratulated Schulzentrum Marienhöhe on its anniversary, thanking it for many years of support for Ukrainian children and education in the conditions of the humanitarian crisis.

A greeting was also conveyed from the Lyceum «Zhyve Slovo» (EN: Living Word), located in the Lviv city — partner school, with which Schulzentrum Marienhöhe established close cooperation even before the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine. It was this cooperation that became the basis for the development of a powerful educational direction in ADRA Ukraine.

During the meeting, were presented the results of the implementation of three phases of the project «Restore with love», which was implemented on the basis of the Lyceum «Zhyve Slovo» thanks to the financial support of Schulzentrum Marienhöhe and ADRA Germany.

Within the project:
– provided educational support to over 100 students, in particular children with special educational needs;
– tens of extracurricular activities and psychosocial support programs have been conducted;
– the material base of the school has been restored, a sports ground and a school radio laboratory have been arranged;
– the preparation of pupils for career choices through career guidance programmes has begun;
– provided psychosocial support to educators.

This cooperation has become a model of international solidarity and trust, which is transformed into concrete opportunities for Ukrainian children and their parents — even in the most difficult times.
