Representatives of the UN WFP visited the communities of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, where ADRA Ukraine operates

On August 18, representatives of of the UN World Food Programme in Ukraine visited locations in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, where the ADRA Ukraine team provided humanitarian aid to local residents.

In the village of Molodetske of the Bilozersk community in the Kherson region, residents received 138 food kits from the UN WFP with the support of ADRA Sweden. The settlement is located near the front line and regularly suffers from drone attacks. It is home to about 30% of internally displaced persons from the coastal zone.

On the same day, in the Ingul community of the Mykolaiv region, ADRA Ukraine employees conducted a verification for residents who were previously registered to receive cash assistance from the UN WFP according to vulnerability categories. In particular, 232 people were verified in the village of Maryanivka, and another 398 people were verified in the villages of Rodnyki and Dobra Krynytsia.

Representatives of the Odesa and Kyiv offices of the UN WFP spoke with residents at all locations about their needs and the situation in the communities.
