On May 20th, the charitable organization ADRA Ukraine evacuated six people (two of whom are immobile persons) using their transport from a transit shelter based at the Social Adaptation Center for People with Disabilities “Ocean Dobra” in Dnipro. This shelter houses evacuees from frontline areas. The evacuation was carried out with two ambulances to Kyiv region for long-term residence. The assistance was provided by the LEAP project supported by the Government of Canada and ADRA Canada.
These people were previously evacuated to Dnipro from frontline and de-occupied areas of Kherson, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions.
In addition to ADRA Ukraine, the “Vostok SOS” charity fund was also involved in the evacuation of the residents of the Dnipro shelter on this day.
