ADRA Ukraine’s team evacuates a family with a person with disability and 13 other people from Kherson
The evacuation took place on March 13 as part of the LEAP project supported by the Government of Canada and ADRA Canada. A family of four was forced to leave behind their hometown and move to Lviv due to constant shelling. As the family had a person with disability, the evacuation was carried out using a specially equipped vehicle. In Lviv, the family, which plans to move to Denmark, was temporarily accommodated in a transit shelter provided by the Borys Voznytsky Charitable Foundation. This shelter is supported by ADRA Ukraine as part of the same project.
In addition, on the same day, another ADRA Ukraine’s bus departed from Kherson to Odesa, evacuating 13 people from the dangerous city.
