On January 14, ADRA Ukraine’s psychologists facilitated a group program called Ukrainian Evenings in Kyiv as part of the LEAP project supported by the Government of Canada. The event, aimed at providing emotional support during the war and mastering self-care skills, was attended by more than 20 people. During the trainings, the participants learned to practice resourcing and experienced a wide range of emotions by participating in art therapy and competitions.

The program was facilitated by psychologists Irina Isakova and Olga Vashchina. Volunteers from the Seventh-day Adventist community helped with the arrangements. The guests of the event also sang Ukrainian songs and enjoyed dumplings. The hosts received a lot of positive feedback from the participants of the group program, as such events help people during the war to unload emotionally, get useful information, and learn to overcome stress.
