Children of IDPs were taught to be aware of and change their emotions at the psychological training in Poltava
Work continues in the social and psychological direction of assistance within the framework of ADRA Ukraine project with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO).
On October 26, a training for children took place with the participation of Yuliia Prymak, a psychologist, in one of the shelters in Poltava. Children of internally displaced persons learned to be aware of their emotions at the event.
The training was designed for children aged 6 to 13 years old. The participants performed simple tasks – created thematic drawings, after which the psychologist held a conversation with each child about the plot of the drawing, the chosen colors and the emotions that the authors felt while creating.
To transform negative emotions, children were offered to draw and change pictures.
After this technique, children shared new sensations, described changes, thanks to which the psychologist taught children to be aware of their emotions and their transformations.
