Drawing for psychological self-support: an art therapy event was held in Kryvyi Rih
How to distract yourself from anxious thoughts, reduce tension and better listen to your own emotions with the help of drawing? An art therapy event on neurographics, which took place for representatives of the Kryvyi Rih Business Association, was dedicated to this.
During the meeting, the participants got acquainted with the principles of neurographics — creative practice, which combines drawing with work on their own thoughts and emotions. They learned how such creative pursuits can be used to shift attention, relax and psychologically support themselves.
Long-term stress, uncertainty, loss and economic hardship affect people’s emotional state. Therefore, simple ways to stop at least for a short time, distract yourself from daily stress and pay attention to your own condition become especially important.
The meeting took place in a creative and friendly atmosphere. The unusual combination of drawing and psychological practices aroused the interest of the participants and became a reason for active discussion.
The event was held by ADRA Ukraine facilitator Zlata Khudiakova within the framework of the IHA MHWP project with the support of the Government of Canada and ADRA Canada.
