ADRA Ukraine volunteers in the city of Izyum and nearby settlements of the Kharkiv region distributed 950 food kits from the UN World Food Programme with the support of ADRA Switzerland. Humanitarian aid is provided to both local residents and displaced persons who were forced to move to Izyum from communities suffering from active hostilities (such as the Boriv settlement community).

In addition, as part of the UN WFP program implemented in partnership with ADRA Ukraine (with the support of ADRA Switzerland), cash assistance will be provided in the city of Balaklia and 14 Starostyn districts of the Balaklia community from April instead of food kits. Residents who previously received kits will now receive 1,500 UAH for each family member. For this purpose, the project team started registration and registration of people for financial assistance on April 10. Registration is now coming to an end. About 9,000 people will be transferred to this type of assistance. Thanks to the received funds, people affected by the war will be able to buy food their families.
