ADRA Ukraine’s project team supported by the UN World Food Programme and ADRA Switzerland had a meeting with the management of the Mykolaiv Bread Factory. This plant is the main supplier of bread for Mykolaiv and Kherson Regions. Every month in these regions, the ADRA Ukraine team, with the support of the UN WFP, distributes about 348,000 loaves of bread to the affected people. The management team of Mykolaiv Bread Factory offered the meeting participants to observe the bread production process and reported on the damage to production and transportation facilities caused by massive strikes against Mykolaiv. Despite the significant damage, employees managed to resume production in a short period of time. The bread factory now continues to create jobs for local population and act as a reliable supplier of bread to the WFP partners.
