Since April of this year, 688 people who suffered as a result of the war have received financial assistance within the framework of the project implemented by ADRA Ukraine with funding from the Japan Platform and support from ADRA Japan. Most of the recipients, 582 people, were evacuated from Donetsk region.

Each participant of the program receives 12,300 hryvnias — a one-time payment designed to cover priority needs for three months. Support is provided under the UCT direction.

In order for aid to be able to arrive to newly evacuated people in a timely manner, ADRA Ukraine cooperates with transit centers. Recently, the project team visited centers in Voloske village and Pavlohrad city, Dnipropetrovsk region, where people from the front-line territories arrive every day.

During the visit, the team familiarized themselves with the current needs of the centers, the scope of evacuation and discussed the possibilities of further cooperation. In particular, transit centers help to transfer information about evacuated people for their further registration to receive financial support.

Assistance is provided within the framework of the “Emergency Livelihood Support Project for Vulnerable War-Affected People in Ukraine”, which is implemented by ADRA Ukraine with funding from Japan Platform and support from ADRA Japan.
