A family-type orphanage in Lviv region received sports equipment from ADRA Ukraine
The charitable organization ADRA Ukraine purchased a trampoline and a sports children’s complex for a family-type orphanage of the Paskevich family in Lviv region, where 9 adoptive and one biological child are now being brought up. Sports equipment was purchased with funds raised by ADRA Ukraine through the organization’s website donations.
Oksana and Vyacheslav Paskevichi are immigrants from Dnipropetrovsk region. Their orphanage was evacuated from Sofiyivka village of Kryvyi Rih district, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. So they and their children got to Lviv, and later to Lviv region. In spring 2023, the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska visited their family with humanitarian aid together with the team of her Foundation. The first lady asked how they see their future. Oksana and Vyacheslav replied that they wanted the children to grow up in a safe place. After that visit, Paskevich and his children were given the opportunity to live in a specially built house of communal property located in Stryi district of Lviv region.
In addition to the children living with Paskevich now, their family has raised 10 more adopted children and 4 biological ones who have already become adults. Among the adopted children who are now being brought up by a family are a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl with mental disorders who were evacuated from the “Sonechko” shelter in Zaporizhzhia. These are children who never knew their parents because they were in a shelter from a young age.
ADRA Ukraine learned about the needs of the family-type orphanage of the Paskevich family through the “Nika” charity foundation and decided to help with sports equipment so that children living in this family could fully develop and organize their leisure time.
