ADRA Ukraine and the Embassy of Canada discussed the implementation of the MHWP humanitarian project

As part of the partnership between ADRA Ukraine and the Government of Canada, a meeting was held on September 11 at the Embassy of Canada in Kyiv city. The participants discussed the current state and implementation of the MHWP (Mental Health, Winterization and Protection) project for 2025-2026, which is supported by the Government of Canada, as well as prospects for further cooperation.

From ADRA Ukraine, program director Maryna Savchuk and MHWP project manager Andrii Khozhev took part in the meeting. Volodymyr Bernyk, Deputy Director of the Cooperation Program, and Herman Sirman, Development Specialist were present at the Embassy of Canada.

The meeting took place in a positive, constructive atmosphere. Representatives of ADRA Ukraine presented other projects and areas of activity implemented by the charitable organization, as well as thanks to the government and people of Canada for their constant support of Ukraine.

The MHWP project, which has a budget of C$2,442,539, aims to:
– payment of funds for the purchase of fuel briquettes in Chernihiv region;
– provision of psychological and psychosocial assistance in six protection centers in the cities of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Mykolaiv;
– provision of fuel briquettes to 150 households in Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions, 17 collective centers in Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions for the winter period of 2025–2026.
