ADRA Ukraine expands the WASH component: a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Dnipro
In the city of Dnipro, the team of the WMTW Ukraine project, which is implemented by ADRA Ukraine, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Dnipro District Council. The document concerns the implementation of the WASH component within the — project of the direction responsible for providing the population with pure water.
Cooperation involves communication with the head of the district, selection of locations and visits to places for needs assessment.
The project “Safe water, psychological peace, social transport and support in the winter period for Ukrainians affected by the conflict” (WMTW Ukraine) is implemented with the support of Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH), ADRA Czech Republic.
According to the WASH cluster, the most acute problem with access to clean water is observed in the Dnipro district, which includes 19 territorial communities. It is there that the ADRA Ukraine team focuses most of its work on the WASH sector.
Within the WASH component, it is planned to drill wells, install water purification systems, and reconstruct water towers. The possibility of installing additional objects according to the identified needs is also being considered.
