One of the directions of assistance within the framework of ADRA Ukraine project with the support of the UN World Food Program is provision of baby food for children aged 6 to 23 months. Over the entire period of implementation of this direction, volunteers have distributed 79,973 kits in 10 regions of Ukraine, including Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Poltava and other regions. As of today, volunteers have also distributed: about 1,000,000 food kits, 10,046,037 loaves of bread as well as food certificates in the amount of UAH 500, at the rate of 3 certificates in the total amount of UAH 1,500 per person. During the implementation of the program, 103,299 certificates have been distributed in the amount of UAH 51,649,500 and 34,433 people have received this kind of assistance.
Within the evacuation direction, evacuation of the civilian population from hot spots and transportation of people from the evacuation point in Zaporizhzhia continue, and social transportation operates. Another type of evacuation assistance is actively ongoing – evacuation of people to Poland. Free transportation abroad can be provided to people who are in dangerous conditions, in hot spots or in occupied territories. Hundreds of people from different parts of Ukraine have already received evacuation assistance. In particular, people have been evacuated from Mariupol, Kherson and Donetsk regions. The nearest trip will take place on September 12 from Lviv.
The project of psychological support for children of vulnerable categories with the support of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as representative offices of ADRA in Spain, Australia and Denmark, has successfully come to an end. The main goal of the project was to improve the health of children who are IDPs and local children of vulnerable categories in two camps for kids in Zakarpattia region. Due to the cooperation of local authorities and the charitable organization ADRA Ukraine, 364 children have received assistance.
The direction of financial assistance is realized within several projects at once. Currently, the stage of payment of financial assistance based on approved applications of current projects is underway. As of today, more than 24,208 people have already received financial assistance, amounting to UAH 161,225,280 in total. Payments are ongoing.
