Food certificates in Sumy region, social trips to Donetsk region, an evening of psychological support in Kyiv region – results of activities of ADRA Ukraine during the week
ADRA Ukraine resumed the distribution of food certificates in Sumy region within the framework of the project of emergency food assistance to the affected population of Ukraine with the support of the UN World Food Program. The assistance is provided in the settlements of Sumy region, including Sumy, Hlukhiv, Shostka, Romny, Konotop, Trostianets, Lebedyn, Bilopyllia and Krasnopillia.
Food certificates are provided according to preformed and approved lists of certain categories.
The food certificate allows a person to buy food or non-food products in such stores as “Silpo”, Le Silpo, Fozzy, “Fopa”, “Thrash!Trash!”. The amount of one certificate is UAH 500.
Residents of Sviatohirsk community (Donetsk region) have gained access to infrastructure thanks to the social transportation from ADRA Ukraine. Transportation assistance is provided within the framework of LEAP project with the support of the Government of Canada. During the period of active hostilities, the infrastructure in the community was destroyed, residents did not have access to basic needs. Thanks to social transportation from ADRA Ukraine, now residents of the community can get to medical, banking, social and administrative institutions.
In case of evacuation, it is possible to transport people to Kramatorsk railway station or Pokrovsk.
Psychologists of ADRA Ukraine conducted a group program “Evening of Hope” in Kalyta village, Kyiv region. The event that took place within the framework of LEAP project with the support of the Canadian government, was designed for people of different categories and age groups. An important part of the meeting was direct communication between people at the tables. The employees of ADRA Ukraine revealed current issues, how to find support in difficult times and learn to think positively. Elements of music and art therapy were used in the program of the meeting.
