Valerii’s family came to Kyiv immediately after the occupation of Kherson began. He himself stayed in the city for another six months, but then he also dared to leave. Valerii says that in addition to the constant shelling, there was another threat to his life – the city was running out of medicine that he has to take constantly.

In September, he came to Kyiv and was reunited with his family. He had lost his job since the start of the full-scale war, so he had to start all over again in the capital. The money was only for the most necessary. They were lucky that their acquaintance told them about the charitable organization ADRA Ukraine and registered Valerii’s family for financial assistance.

The funds came very timely – Valerii was able to purchase the necessary medicines to maintain his health and a means of communication for his daughter, who went to university. Financial assistance from partners of Canadian Foodgrains Bank helped Valerii Zozulia’s family survive the most difficult moments in life and get back on their feet.

This family is very grateful for the help and for the fact that they were not left alone with the problem.
