A representative of Ukrainian Deminers Association visited the Kyiv office of ADRA Ukraine
On November 6, the Kyiv office of ADRA Ukraine held a meeting with Iryna Hutsalo — project manager of the NGO «Ukrainian Deminers Association» (UDA), head of the project «Comprehensive training on mine risk and assistance to victims in communities affected by the conflict, in the front-line and de-occupied regions of Ukraine». This project is implemented by the UDA with funding from the United Nations, operating through the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). The meeting took place within the framework of a planned monitoring visit.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of the project implementation and individual cases of providing psychological assistance to victims of explosive objects.
From ADRA Ukraine, the following took part in the meeting: project manager Yana Reznikova, coordinator of the MHPSS (psychosocial support) direction Anna Matvienko, as well as psychologists Kateryna Zynchak, Olena Kozak, Yelizaveta Dekaliuk, Alina Oberemok and Anastasiia Zynyk.
The meeting took place in a professional atmosphere and contributed to the further strengthening of partnership cooperation to ensure quality support for the affected population. The issues raised during the visit testify to the expediency and urgent need to expand the range of assistance provided to such people.
