The danger from the sky did not stop the volunteers: the distribution of kits from the UN WFP in Tomina Balka
On June 29, ADRA Ukraine volunteers handed over food kits from the UN World Food Programme to residents of the village of Tomina Balka, Kherson region. Assistance was provided with the support of ADRA Switzerland. A total of 375 people received humanitarian support.
Due to the limited cargo capacity of the transport, delivery was carried out in three stages. During one of the exits, on 28 June, an enemy drone was seen in the air near the vehicle at the entrance to the village.
Tomina Balka — is one of the most dangerous distribution points of the region. The village is located near the front line, under constant fire, with a high risk of mines, including special power missiles, as well as the threat of drones. All humanitarian aid deliveries are coordinated with the military administration — only with its permission volunteers can enter the territory of the settlement.
Despite the difficult and dangerous conditions, the ADRA Ukraine team tries to reach local residents who need support every month.
