ADRA Ukraine volunteers distributed 600 food kits from the UN World Food Programme in Kupyansk city of Kharkiv region
The distribution took place on June 21 in the sugar factory area – Zaoskilya district, the part of Kupyansk city, located behind the Oskil River. Food kits were provided by the UN WFP with the support of ADRA Switzerland to all residents of the district, among them a large percentage of elderly people. Kits include food for a month for one person.
Zaoskilya district is currently under heavy shelling. There is no crossing of the river, so volunteers who want to help local residents to survive have to overcome the path through Izyum city.
