Schools, hospitals and boiler houses received backup power sources from ADRA Ukraine
The education of children, the operation of hospitals and the heat supply of communities depend not only on the power grid, but also on the availability of backup power. That is why during May and June of 2026, ADRA Ukraine handed over generators and inverter systems to educational institutions, medical institutions and critical infrastructure facilities of Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Assistance was provided within the project with the support of Radiohjälpen (RadioAid, Sweden) and ADRA International.
In the Kyiv region, four inverter systems consisting of inverters and batteries were awarded to the Irpin Lyceum, the Lyceum in Kozyntsi, the Kindergarten in Borodianka, and the Lyceum in Hostomel. This equipment will help institutions maintain operation during power outages.

In addition, 18 generators were transferred in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Hospitals in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih received the most equipment. Generators were also handed over to three gymnasiums and boiler houses in Kryvyi Rih, boiler houses in the city of Dnipro, a hospital in the village of Novooleksandrivka, and boiler houses in the village of Lozuvatka.

All equipment has already been transferred to the balance sheet of institutions that have undertaken to install and connect it in the near future. Thanks to this assistance, in case of power outages, hospitals will be able to continuously provide medical care, educational institutions will continue to work, and critical infrastructure facilities will provide communities with the necessary services.
