The delegation from ADRA Japan has visited humanitarian aid distribution points in Zakarpattia region
In August, Aki Sugimoto and Kazuhiro Koide, representatives of ADRA Japan, visited Ukraine. Together with the employees of ADRA Ukraine, they discussed plans for the future. Foreign guests visited several humanitarian aid distribution points in Zakarpatia region, including “Venezia” volunteer hub. ADRA Ukraine brings food on a permanent basis in this place, here volunteers feed internally displaced persons from all over the country for free. The delegation also visited the distribution of food kits that were provided in cooperation with ADRA Slovakia and communicated with beneficiaries.
ADRA Ukraine is a part of the worldwide network of Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) that operates in more than 130 countries. As of today, ADRA Ukraine implements humanitarian projects to help victims of the war. But this assistance would not be possible without the significant support of partners from all over the world, one of which is ADRA Japan. Thanks to colleagues from Japan, several projects have been successfully implemented in Ukraine at once, in particular, in the areas of food assistance, provision of shelter etc.
ADRA Japan has joined in sponsoring such projects as “Hope for Ukraine” Project, the micro-grant project, and the food assistance project (all three in cooperation with ADRA Czech Republic and ADRA Slovakia). About 228,000 people have received assistance within the framework of these projects thanks to joint efforts.
