The project on provision of emergency food assistance to the population affected by the conflict in Ukraine, with the support of the UN World Food Program – results of 2022
This project is being actively implemented starting from April 2022. In more than 9 months, thanks to the fruitful cooperation between ADRA Ukraine and the UN World Food Program, the project team reached more than 6,400,000 beneficiaries from 13 regions of Ukraine and distributed 36,439 tons of food assistance.
During this time, thanks to the project the following amount of assistance has been distributed:
15,561,925 loaves of fresh bread in 7 regions, namely: Sumy, Poltava, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv.
160,687 basic rations weighing 3–8 kg in 7 regions, namely: Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson.
1,829,434 supplemented kits of general purpose weighing 17–22 kg in 13 regions of Ukraine, namely: Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Kherson and Cherkasy.
179,496 kits of baby food weighing 2 kg for children aged 6 to 23 months – in Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Luhansk regions.
200,729 food certificates of UAH 500 each in the total amount of UAH 100,364,500 that have been provided to 55,969 beneficiaries of Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
During the Christmas and New Year holidays, on the initiative of the UN GDP, we gave 4,710 gifts to children from the most affected areas of Ukraine, namely: Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, toys, clothes and other things were among these gifts.
