Within the framework of the project, with the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund, the organization has completed the replacement of the heating system in the shelter located in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. Thanks to this, the living conditions of students and internally displaced persons have improved significantly. Work on replacement of 26 windows and 74 doors is going on.

This shelter is located in the building of the dormitory of the Westen-Donbas Vocational Lyceum, whose representatives turned to ADRA Ukraine for help. Since March 2022, the dormitory has begun to accept internally displaced persons, and part of the students of the lyceum remained to live there on a permanent basis, since they cannot return home due to active hostilities. Today, 204 people live in the shelter, including 117 IDPs and 87 students.

The dormitory was built in 1969, since then the heating system has never been repaired. In addition, the building needed replacement of windows and doors to save heat and maintain the required temperature regime. Despite the fact that the winter period has ended, we still often have to face frosts at night, so warming the premises is important even before the onset of autumn.
